OUR TEN HAPPIEST STATES

Again this year, Wallethub.com surveyed residents in all 50 states.  Having fun yet? Thirty-two pillars of happiness were assessed, everything from employment and income to safety, recreation, even COVID testing.  Winners were chosen by averaging the scores.  And the giddiest states are:

1.  Hawaii — Again. Not fair, really.

2.  Utah — Still #2, still the promised land?

3.  Minnesota — that “Fargo” cheeriness just won’t quit

4.  New Jersey — The Boss had it right all along.

5. Maryland — O—kayyy.

6.  California — How many “Beach Boys” songs can’t be wrong?

7. North Dakota — (survey must have been taken in the summer.)

8.  Iowa — The Midwest dropped three states from the list this year but Iowa held firm.

9.  Idaho — Being #2 in both Work Environment and Community & Environment paid off

10.  Connecticut — New England finally makes the list!
